The Health Center Foundation (HCF) Helping Hands Volunteers touch the lives of our patients, their families, and our staff, through their generous gifts of time and energy. Volunteers play an important role in our hospital’s mission to provide the highest quality care to the patients we serve.
With many areas available to volunteer for including:
Extended Care and Assisted Living
Hear from our patients:
"Everything was perfect. I loved it and I felt safe. It was just great. They helped a lot. They were so nice to me. Thank you."
"I could not believe how courteously the staff handled my situation. Even going so far as to guide me into the new hospital by telephone as I did not know where it was. The nurse at the desk was very friendly as was the entire staff. The nurse who took my vitals kept me talking which somewhat took my mind off my pain. Well done to the entire staff, including the PA that came in to see me. He looked at my problem and immediately knew what was wrong and what I needed to fix it. So grateful to all three of them. As a truck driver, there are not a lot of emergency rooms we can even go to so to find one that was expedient and competent was truly a blessing. Thanks again."
"Excellent. Caring and friendly. Efficient."
Whether your interest is read to our elderly at Assisted Living, play balloon volleyball with our residents at Extended Care, or helping a family member while they wait for surgery to end, volunteering makes a difference to more than the people you are helping, it makes a difference in you! Advance your career, meet new friends, gain recognition, or simply enjoy the personal satisfaction that comes from helping others.
