Sidney NE Sidney Regional Medical Center (SRMC) is pleased to announce a new agreement for emergency transfer. As part of the continuum of care, the hospital is responsible for managing the transportation of the patient to the next level of care. Because it is sometimes necessary to expedite this process, SRMC has partnered with Medical Air Rescue Company (MARC) for its ground and air transfer services.
Effective March 3, 2019, MARC will be contacted when a transfer is needed for a patient at SRMC. Jason Petik, Chief Executive Officer, shared “The community’s partnership with MARC has been very successful in many ways.” MARC annually serves over 2,000 patients through its rotor and fixed-wing operations providing rapid and reliable care to patients, families, and communities. MARC’s services extend from Montana, Nebraska, South Dakota, Wyoming, Oklahoma through Texas.
MARC is an independent emergent/non-emergent transfer partner headquartered in Rapid City, SD with air and ground resources located throughout the region. MARC is fully staffed 24/7, with highly trained and experienced teams that are ACLS, PALS, NRP and BLS certified as well as receiving extensive and ongoing scenario-based education through MARC’s Regional Training Center recognized by the American Heart Association (AHA), NREMT, Difficult Airway Course, and BCCTPC for flight paramedic recertification.
