Wound Care

Complex Wound Care is a critical physiological process to maintain the integrity of the skin as a protective and functional barrier after experiencing trauma. Such wounds are defined as longstanding tissue injuries that cannot be treated with conventional methods of wound dressing or closure either due to local tissue or comprehensive factors. SRMC offers patients with complex wounds the specialized, outpatient wound care they need for those with:

  • Bone infections
  • Diabetic foot and leg wounds
  • Recurring wounds
  • Surgical wounds
  • Ulcers (ischemic, pressure, and venous stasis)
  • Wounds caused by radiation therapy
  • And more

Every patient and wound vary. Your specialist will need to evaluate the wound and determine the best course of treatment to begin. For more information on SRMC Complex Wound Care and how you can be treated, call 308.254.8088.
