SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
The HCF Summer Internship Program provides practical experience to third-year undergraduate students who are pursuing careers in the medical field. Each summer, two paid interns shadow in various departments at Sidney Regional Medical Center (SRMC) as well as in area-appropriate medical care fields within the region. The goal is to provide the interns a better understanding of a rural healthcare system. Through observation and on hands experience of how each department or service supports other areas, they are able to witness and learn high-quality compassionate care. Interested students should be considering relocating to rural areas.
The program begins shortly after the completion of the spring college semester and ends prior to the beginning of the fall course. The timeline is determined by the program coordinator and the students selected. Housing is available for those away from home. Spring applications will available February '22.
