SRMC’s Emergency Room is equipped with a triage room, four treatment rooms, and a trauma room supported by 24-hour radiology, laboratory, and cardiopulmonary services.
When to Visit the Emergency Room:
- Broken bones
- Chest pains
- Coughing or throwing up blood
- Deep wound(s)
- Dizziness or weakness that doesn’t go away
- Heavy bleeding
- High fever that doesn’t improve with medicine
- High fever with headache and stiff neck
- Inhaled smoke or poisonous fumes
- Loss of consciousness
- Pain in the arm or jaw
- Passing out/fainting
- Poisoning or overdose on drugs or alcohol
- Seizures
- Serious burn(s)
- Severe abdominal pain
- Severe allergic reaction
- Severe pain anywhere on body
- Slurred speech or inability to speak
- Sudden confusion
- Suddenly unable to speak, see, walk, or move
- Suicidal thoughts
- Trouble breathing
- Unusual or aching headache (suddenly started)
- Vomiting or diarrhea
- Weak/drooping on one side of body
